Product Description
"Zero-compromise" concealed carry grips for the Kimber K6XS and K6S revolver line. Before, wheelgun folks had to choose between shooting comfort (rubber grips) or carry comfort (wood or G10 grips). Recoil Rider revolver grips provide both, featuring the recoil absorption of rubber grips with the snag-free comfort of wooden grips. Plus, they reduce the weight for easier carry. If you're carrying your revolver AIWB or in the pocket, these utilitarian grips will provide a superior shooting and CCW experience. These grips are available for the aluminum frame K6XS, as well as the steel-frame K6S DAO and K6S DASA.
Features
- Absorb recoil: Recoil Rider revolver grips cover the backstrap with a rubbery material that mitigates shock. The hotter the ammo, the greater the reduction in recoil.
- Snag-free: Unlike traditional rubber grips, Recoil Rider revolver grips won't snag your clothing or rub against your skin when carrying AIWB or in the pocket.
- Low-Profile: Conceals like boot grips but provides a three-finger grip with a spot for your pinky.
- Optimized trigger reach: Backstrap thickness provides a natural and comfortable trigger finger placement.
- Lighter weight: Reduce the weight by almost an ounce compared to traditional grips, offering the easiest CCW experience available.
- Natural point-of-aim.
Compatibility
- Compatible with the Kimber K6XS, Kimber K6S DAO, and Kimber K6S DASA.
- Speedloader Compatible.
Weight Comparison
- Kimber K6xs (stock): 15.8 oz
- Kimber K6xs (Recoil Rider): 15.1 oz
- Kimber K6S DASA (stock): 23.4 oz
- Kimber K6S DASA (Recoil Rider): 22.4 oz
Sizing Guide

- Standard Fit: Optimized for small and medium-sized hands. If your hand is equal or smaller than the measurements above, choose this size. This size offers the easiest draw for pocket carry due to the narrower width.
- Large Fit: Optimized for larger hands. If you hand is equal or larger than the measurements above, choose this size. This size offers the most recoil reduction due to the wider and thicker backstrap.
- Note that the sizes differ in width and backstrap thickness (not length).
Assembly
If you are having difficulty installing or removing the grip, I recommend heating the grips lightly and evenly with a hair dryer on low heat. This will make them more pliable and easier to install and remove. Do not use excessive or prolonged heat, as this could cause discoloration.

Not as great as advertised., even the larger grip is small and is not different then the original grip of the gun.
Good morning Zvika, I'm sorry that the K6xs grip did not work out for you. As you have discovered, the Recoil Rider grip is similar in size to the stock grips in order to maintain concealability, but I recognize that this might not suit everyone's preference. In any case, I sincerely appreciate your willingness to give them a shot and your feedback. Carry on. Best regards, David
Absolutely love the new large grip!! I actually enjoy shooting the K6XS now! Groups are much better and my pinky is not oddly positioned like with the Hogue rubber grip. Man was that rubber grip tough to remove, whew.
Oh yeah thank your wife for letting you make this grip!!!
Having purchased Recoil Rider grips for my S&W 432UC revolver and being very pleased with them, I ordered a set (large size) for my Kimber K6S DASA revolver….. had tried the stock grips, Hogue, and Veloce palm swell grips and finding them unsatisfactory for hot 357 loads….. The Recoil Rider grips work very well. I think the extra coverage at the top of the backstrap makes the difference. Great product!
Absolutely amazing grips. I was told to check these grips out from a fellow LEO, who put them on his Diamondback. At the end of the day I was supporting a fellow veteran. Well turns out these grips are fantastic. They feel great, change the angle to ride a little higher. My favorite parts is somehow they don’t drag your shirt around when in the holster. These are a must try.
Works great. Significantly reduces felt recoil and improves overall handling. Very pleased.
