Product Description
"Zero-compromise" concealed carry grips for the Ruger LCR and LCRx revolvers. Before, wheelgun folks had to choose between shooting comfort (rubber grips) or carry comfort (wood or G10 grips). Recoil Rider revolver grips provide both, featuring the recoil absorption of rubber grips with the snag-free comfort of wooden grips. Plus, they reduce the weight for easier carry. If you're carrying your revolver AIWB or in the pocket, these utilitarian grips will provide a superior shooting and CCW experience.
Features
- Absorb recoil: Recoil Rider revolver grips cover the backstrap with a rubbery material that mitigates shock. The hotter the ammo, the greater the reduction in recoil.
- Snag-free: Unlike traditional rubber grips, Recoil Rider revolver grips won't snag your clothing or rub against your skin when carrying AIWB or in the pocket.
- Low-Profile: Conceals like boot grips but provides a three-finger grip with a spot for your pinky.
- Optimized trigger reach: Backstrap thickness provides a natural and comfortable trigger finger placement.
- Lighter weight: Reduce the weight by almost an ounce compared to traditional grips, offering the easiest CCW experience available.
- Natural point-of-aim.
Compatibility
- Compatible with all Ruger LCR and the hammered LCRx revolvers, including the 3" barrel variants, and all calibers.
- Includes spare screw to enable full compatibility for the 3" LCRx.
- Speedloader Clearance: Tested compatible with the HKS 36A Speedloader.

My LCR is heavier than my J-Frames so I carry it IWB primarily. I had upgraded go the larger 3 finger grip from Hogue and that did a good job of soaking up recoil but....they would get soaked in sweat and my shirts would stick to the grip. Once I heard about the Recoil Riders and read the description about them being hard like wood - soft like rubber I took a chance and immediately receiving them I ordered a few more for the other EDC snubs I carry. Give these a chance and you too will know....THIS IS THE WAY!
Instantly changes the feel of the Ruger LCR. Makes for easier grip allowing 3 fingers to be on grip. Grip also does away with the snag factor that the original hogue grip has, since I carry it aiwb. Shot with 38 and 357 mag grip does well with the recoil of both. The grip at the trigger guard also eliminates the "Glock knuckle" factor that the hogue grip had for me! Highly recommend this grip, don't think you will be disappointed.
Bought a set of these grips for my Ruger LCR and they are perfect. They hold much better than the stock grips and don’t grab at clothing at all. Their footprint is also smaller (but just the right size) than every other option I looked at on the market. You won’t be disappointed!
After installing and using the Recoil Rider grips for both LCR and Taurus 856 revolvers, I sincerely recommend them. For the LCR, I've tried all the Hogue grips, with none being satisfactory for me (either too small, too large, or too "clingy" against fabric), the Recoil Rider - size Large for my average-sized hands - is a perfect compromise in size, shape, and texture. Grippy when held, but not "clingy" to clothing.
For the Taurus 856, I had gone from the large, slippery, original wood grip to a LOK-brand G-10 grip with finger grooves not well-placed for my hand. The Recoil Rider is lighter-weight, which slightly changes the balance of the 3" barrel gun when held, but is fine for shooting.
Both grips absorb recoil nicely, without being spongy, and are the best compromise I've found for shape, size, and texture. Totally happy with them, and with David's quick and friendly responses to emails.
FANTASTIC difference in shooting experience, have LCR 32 H&R magnum and very significant recoil reduction, plus almost identical length to Hogue boot grip but can get 3 fingers on it. Initially ordered regular size and needed larger size( my hands are med in mechanics gloves but larger backstrap width feels much better), they made replacement a pleasant , alot or personal interaction with staff, highly recommend
