Product Description
For the ultra-minimalist revolver user who conceal-carries in the pocket: Ultra-concealable boot grips for the Smith & Wesson J-Frame line, optimized for pocket-carry. Recoil Rider grips are the the lightest boot grips available for the J-Frame, plus they absorb recoil with a slim profile and a snag-free draw. They also improve the grip angle of your S&W J-Frame for a more natural point-of-aim. If you're carrying your revolver the pocket, these boot grips will provide a superior shooting and CCW experience.
Features
- Absorb recoil: Recoil Rider revolver grips cover the backstrap with a rubbery material that mitigates shock. The hotter the ammo, the greater the reduction in recoil.
- Snag-free: Unlike traditional rubber grips, Recoil Rider revolver grips won't snag your clothing when pocket-carrying.
- Natural point-of-aim: Improved grip angle mitigates the J-Frame's "Point-Down" feeling which required bending the wrist at an unnatural angle.
- Low-Profile: The slimmest and lightest boot grips ever made.
- Optimized trigger reach: Backstrap thickness provides a more natural and comfortable trigger finger placement.
- Lighter weight: Reduce the weight by over an ounce compared to traditional grips, offering the most lightweight boot grips ever made.

Love the feel and fit of the grips. The material is sturdy but has enough give to really lock into your hand and absorb recoil. Removed one star for the lack of texture. I added some grip tape for improved traction which really helped.
Literally the only way you could make these grips any better is to offer them in boots for the die hard pocket and ankle carry guys like myself. I've wanted them soo badly that I ended up hacking a chunk off one of the original grips just to scratch the itch. While funtionally it was exactly what I wanted, it looked horrible. After a few requests, David notified me he was going to try to make boot grips for the J frames! Finally, my prayers have been answered!! These are perfect. These are the lightest weight grips ive ever put my paws on, they don't snag on clothing, they still offer superior recoil reduction and they still provide a little bit longer reach to the trigger like that of a K-frame, which is super important to me.
I shot with these grips on a 640-1, 642, 632 and a 351c. They handled magnums, plus p's and everything from Doubletap 120 grain hardcast 32 H&R magnums to the already soft shooting 32 long wadcutters with ease..ooh and of course they were awesome on the 22 mag as well. For me, there really isnt any reason to use the full size grips anymore for the J-frames. I can not tell any difference in recoil reduction vs the full size grips. Again for me, the only difference I can tell between the full size and and the boot is that the full size are a little more convenient while shooting 357 magnums because I'm not fighting for a parking spot for my pinky while firing at a decent pace, but this is just me being picky. These grips are outstanding especially for pocket and ankle carry. They have a little bit different rounding at the bottom of the grip vs the full size grips and I think that makes them feel more substantial in your hand than they actually are. I can't thank David enough for deciding to produce these little works of art and letting me weigh in on them. Grab a pair and see for yourself especially if you have any of the air lite offerings. Its one thing to produce a carry revolver that weighs 10-12 ounces empty, but then add grips and ammunition and now youre at least 3-5 ounces heaver....until now. You will not find a boot grip that weighs less than these, while still providing the most useful, practical and comfortable grip available. To say i'm impressed is an understatement. Go read my other reviews on the full size and lcr grips.
