Product Description

For the ultra-minimalist revolver user who conceal-carries in the pocket: Ultra-concealable boot grips for the Smith & Wesson J-Frame line, optimized for pocket-carry. Recoil Rider grips are the the lightest boot grips available for the J-Frame, plus they absorb recoil with a slim profile and a snag-free draw. They also improve the grip angle of your S&W J-Frame for a more natural point-of-aim. If you're carrying your revolver the pocket, these boot grips will provide a superior shooting and CCW experience.

Features

  • Absorb recoil: Recoil Rider revolver grips cover the backstrap with a rubbery material that mitigates shock. The hotter the ammo, the greater the reduction in recoil.
  • Snag-free: Unlike traditional rubber grips, Recoil Rider revolver grips won't snag your clothing when pocket-carrying.
  • Natural point-of-aim: Improved grip angle mitigates the J-Frame's "Point-Down" feeling which required bending the wrist at an unnatural angle.
  • Low-Profile: The slimmest and lightest boot grips ever made.
  • Optimized trigger reach: Backstrap thickness provides a more natural and comfortable trigger finger placement.
  • Lighter weight: Reduce the weight by over an ounce compared to traditional grips, offering the most lightweight boot grips ever made.

Compatibility

  • Boot Grips for J-Frame: Fully Compatible with all internal-hammer S&W J-Frame models including the Ultimate Carry (UC), 642, 442, 632, and 432 Airweights, 340, 342, 640, 940, 40, 42, and 43.
    • DAO Only: Compatible with all shrouded hammer S&W J-Frame Humpback models including the S&W 638, 38, 49, 649, and 438 in double action, but not single action.
  • Speedloader Clearance: Tested compatible with the HKS 36A Speedloader.

    Weight Comparison

    • S&W 642/442 Airweight (stock): 15 oz
    • S&W 642/442 Airweight (Recoil Rider): 13.7 oz

I had them all, but this is the best.

For years I have been looking for a grip that is small enough for pocket carry, fits my hand nicely, absorbs recoil and isn't "sticky". I finally found it. Plus it looks cool on my 642.

    S&W J-Frame Boot Grips

The Standard Fit J- Frame Grips are a very good upgrade over the OEM S&W stocks. These grips are easy to install, fit well, and are very comfortable. I also believe they provide better recoil shock absorption along with being lighter in weight - approximately .8 oz lighter. Overall, I am very satisfied with these grips, and I recommend them for the S&W J Frame revolver.

    Highly recommended!

Took my UC 632 with the Boot Grips to the range yesterday. A buddy and I put a full box of Lost River Ammunition's .32 H&R Magnum 100 gr Polycoat Full Wadcutters through it, and it was great. The grips aided in natural pointing, and reduced the felt recoil to almost nothing. They are very concealable as well.
My buddy and I are both retired law enforcement firearms instructors, and would highly recommend Recoil Rider grips for any of your revolvers.

    Superior to Hamre Forge

Love these grips! I compared them to the Hamre Forge grips I currently own and the Recoil Rider grips were superior in comfort and recoil management and equal in concealment. The switch to Recoil Rider grips was a no brainer for me. Now I’m thinking of trying them for my Ruger LCR.

    Excellent Boot Grip Option

Love the feel and fit of the grips. The material is sturdy but has enough give to really lock into your hand and absorb recoil. Removed one star for the lack of texture. I added some grip tape for improved traction which really helped.
