Product Description
For the ultra-minimalist revolver user who conceal-carries in the pocket: Ultra-concealable boot grips for the Smith & Wesson J-Frame line, optimized for pocket-carry. Recoil Rider grips are the the lightest boot grips available for the J-Frame, plus they absorb recoil with a slim profile and a snag-free draw. They also improve the grip angle of your S&W J-Frame for a more natural point-of-aim. If you're carrying your revolver the pocket, these boot grips will provide a superior shooting and CCW experience.
What is the difference between the CCW Grip and the Boot Grip?
Features
- Absorb recoil: Recoil Rider revolver grips cover the backstrap with a rubbery material that mitigates shock. The hotter the ammo, the greater the reduction in recoil.
- Snag-free: Unlike traditional rubber grips, Recoil Rider revolver grips won't snag your clothing when pocket-carrying.
- Natural point-of-aim: Improved grip angle mitigates the J-Frame's "Point-Down" feeling which required bending the wrist at an unnatural angle.
- Low-Profile: The slimmest and lightest boot grips ever made.
- Optimized trigger reach: Backstrap thickness provides a more natural and comfortable trigger finger placement.
- Lighter weight: Reduce the weight by over an ounce compared to traditional grips, offering the most lightweight boot grips ever made.

I can say a lot about these grips so I'll try to keep this TLDR. I shoot over 1000 rounds a month through 3 j-frames. These are almost all 148 gr. Wadcutters, this is because a basic bitch 442 or 642 will make your hand bleed at around 500 rounds with any other round. The problem is, I want to carry a 158 grain +p semi wadcutter. I want a training round with a near identical point of impact and recoil as my carry round. But I scared, the web of my hand is scared. Previously, the solution was to run a VZ high horn grip. That particular grip is a 10/10 to carry appendix and hard as a slab of granite during recoil. So I'm still scared. I find Recoil Rider while doom scrolling for "pussy hand" pills and I buy one. I like it, it's not as awesome to carry appendix as the VZ grip, but it's still a 9/10. I change back back to the VZ. Awhile later Recoil Rider releases this boot cut grip and I think this will be perfect for winter coat pocket carry. Returning back from the range, just now, as in only moments ago and I'm in love. This grip runs, the faster you run it the "softer" it feels. Groups tightened dramatically while point shooting at 7 to 8 feet. No more blood on my carry gun, no more band aids on the web of my hand, no more 8 year old girls calling me a pussy. Nice. So now I can carry the Underwood 158 +p and load training rounds with a comparable POI. All is right and I can finally get around to replacing the batteries in my smoke detectors.
Easy installation. They fit the outline of the back strap perfectly. They have give but aren't overly grippy to snag in concealment.
Handles recoil well and is the best I have found for pocket carry.
For years I have been looking for a grip that is small enough for pocket carry, fits my hand nicely, absorbs recoil and isn't "sticky". I finally found it. Plus it looks cool on my 642.
The Standard Fit J- Frame Grips are a very good upgrade over the OEM S&W stocks. These grips are easy to install, fit well, and are very comfortable. I also believe they provide better recoil shock absorption along with being lighter in weight - approximately .8 oz lighter. Overall, I am very satisfied with these grips, and I recommend them for the S&W J Frame revolver.
