I am a retired police officer who started my career carrying revolvers. Perhaps it is a bit of nostalgia, and although I don’t always carry a revolver these days, when I do, it is usually my Kimber K6xs. I love that gun, but I never cared for the Houge grips that came on it. I switched to a set of "boot" grips, and although they concealed better, the gun was a handful with Remington HTP 158gr .38+P rounds, my preferred carry round in short-barrel .38s. My search for the perfect grip continued. I read some reviews on Recol Rider grips and decided to give them a try. The grip arrived today; installation was simple and took all of two minutes, then I went out back to my range and tried them out. I don’t know what type of compound they are made of, but they have a unique firm-yet-soft feel and absorbed the recoil of the +P rounds very well. The three-finger grip is secure, and the slight texturing is just right. The gun does not print under my shirt or snag, and I got a great purchase on the weapon when drawing from the holster. The grip puts the muzzle at the perfect angle for quick target acquisition. I couldn’t be happier with my Recoil Rider grip, and as a veteran myself, I was glad to support a small, American, veteran-owned business.
Purchased the Recoil Ryder large grips for my Kimber K6s. Love the K6s but the grips did not cover the back strap and was difficult to shoot anything but .38 special. These grips were easy to put on, covered the back strap and greatly mitigated the painful recoil. Shot several .38 +P without any pain at all. The grips also make it much easier to control the gun. I carry IWB and the grips do not show anymore than the originals. Really pleased with the grips! Definitely would purchase again for my other revolvers when the grips are available.

The recoil Rider grips have been a godsend so far.
I've had this 9 mm LCR since its debut. I bought it as my first revolver and thought that 9 mm would give me an economical way to practice, and a good round to carry. While both are true, the recoil from 9 mm is significantly more than that of 38 special. Even from the 357 weighted frame of the LCR9, the 9 mm LCR provides a significant snap. And unlike the 357 version, there is no downloaded 38 to shoot from it.
In the first year of ownership, I clocked in 1,500 rounds on the 9 mm LCR. I have literal scars to show from it I don't suggest doing that but it was effective at best. In that time I used the stock grips and the boot grip from Hogue.
Since switching to this grip I have been able to run 2 to 300 at a range trip without the discomfort that I was feeling. Now, the thought of running 2,000 rounds a year through this gun does not sound daunting at all.
I purchased grips that were blemished, and there was only a very small blemish in the print that did not affect the fit or finish of the product. I would happily pay the normal price as well.
I was skeptical at first about 3D printed grips, but I have been made a believer. I'm excited to put them on all of my wheel guns.
Amazing engineering of these grips. I have not seen any grips that absorbed recoil like these. Any/all gun manufacturers should place these grips on their revolvers. Highly recommend these grips!
I bought grips for my Smith & Wesson air weight and my SP 101 snub nose.
I took them both to the range and the grips are a game changer.
Despite the loudness of the 38 Special out of the air weight, there was no sting in the grip.
The SP101 with full power 357 was completely acceptable.
The fact that the material does not snag on clothing is a great selling point that hogue rubber grips cannot claim.
I recommended the grips to the range master for his SW airweight.
I'm hoping that the grips outlast me in terms of whatever the material is that you use.

I replaced my Ergo grip with the recoil rider grip. Have not shot the firearm yet however the grip feels incredible and looks amazing!

Got the cylinder release for my S&W 640 and must say, it’s very well built and over all best access then the factory release. Easy to install, feels good on the thumb, and usability is swell when conducting speed reloads.
I got the grip and installed it. WOW! That really changed so much about the pistol. I grip it better. My trigger finger fits perfectly, it looks great, and the grip angle is awesome. It looks like a semi-automatic. Thanks again for producing such a great product!

I was looking for a different grip for my K6XS online, and RecoilRider is the only one that's better than the one that came with it. I was very surprised when I received it, based on the material used. Amazing how this company engineer the grip to take up recoil from the firearm. I recommend this to everyone that experiencing arthritis, new shooters, and female shooters.
Installed these yesterday, but haven’t had a chance to shoot with them yet.
What I can say: These are very ergonomic and holster well. I expect it will help a lot with recoil, considering the bulk behind the hammer area, at the back of the grip.
My hands are pretty exact (average/medium size), in terms of the dimensions the guide shows, and the large grips work well with my hand size.
It is as advertised. The large CCW grip allows me to get a full purchase and a natural point of aim. The LCR's original hard rubber grip made my hand sting when I shot even lighter 357 Magnum loadings. The material that the large CCW grip is made from does a much better job at soaking up the 357 Magnum's energy, I didn't feel the sharp stings like before. The large CCW grip also is lighter weight than the original hard rubber grip that came with the LCR, plus it does not snag on my clothes. If an XL or 2XL backstrap grip was made I would be interested.

The install was VERY easy without hardware needed. Haven't shot the gun yet but the fitment and cushioning look superior to rubber grips. Snag free and easy for pocket carry unlike hogue grips. Only gave 4 stars because I haven't shot yet.
I honestly cannot find where the blem is but doesn't matter. The grips are very nice. I had on the Hogue bantam grips on mine before I installed these but these are far lighter and much much easier to carry concealed. Shooting wise I'd say they are about as on par with the Hogue ones for 38 +p but I prefer the Hogue ones for shooting .357. I honestly was shocked at how much extra weight the Hogue grips are vs. These and these tame the recoil pretty close.
Needed a grip that would not stick to clothing for ankle carry. These did the job. Instalation was easy. They soak up recoil nicely and are grippy enough while not being sticky or tacky. Material is interesting. Quite bouncy and flexible.
First time Senior Citizen snubby owner S&W model 642, didnt like the feel/grip with little finger hang of S&W stock boot grips so I owdered Recoil Rider large CCW. My hand was border line on R.R. measureing chart so went with the large size. Recoil Rider is .100" thiner than stock grips on width and material is dense and slick where finger tips try to grip. At the range I tried a light load of Federal Black Pack 38 special 125 grain so recoil was not an issue with either grip using single hand hold. Noticed on R.R. grip little finger kept slipping down angle part of grip the tighter I held on. No clear winner during range test as I could learn to live with either grip. Both grips and gun can be pulled from pocket carry test no problem. Will try + P ammo on next grips test to see if recoil is an issue before I decide which grip to keep and/or if I need to find the right/best defense carry ammo for an acceptable recoil on the hand.
Went with the large CCW and the cylinder release! Both fit perfectly. The grips are phenomenal. They provide great grip and recoil absorption. They also helped the gun point naturally. The cylinder release makes reloads much easier and still allows clearance for speedloaders.
